Heritage Hotels & Resorts Green Initiatives

Committed to supporting cultural and ecological consciousness.

Heritage Hotels & Resorts takes great pride in making sure our environmentally responsible practices help achieve a sustainable future. The foundation of our company is centered on the preservation of the heritage and culture of our southwestern region. Each hotel exemplifies our unique southwestern culture blending Native American, Mexican, Spanish and American Western influences. It is important to us to embrace practices that foster cultural sustainability in combination with other eco-friendly efforts to preserve the precious resources of our city, our state and our world.

Our Green and eco-friendly hotel practices in place or underway at some or all of our hotels include the following:

  • All new corporate and hotel marketing collateral, letterhead and envelopes printed on FSC recycled or Green Seal Certified paper with soy-based ink
  • Use of cotton towels helps the air quality in our guestrooms
  • By giving our guests the option to re-use towels and linens, it helps us reduce laundry detergent and water use
  • Use of environmentally safe or non-toxic cleaning agents and chemicals
  • All usable hotel items such as linens, towels, furniture, drapes, appliances and bedspreads are donated to local non-profit organizations during renovations, thus reducing the landfills
  • Use of durable eco-friendly non-disposable dishes, cups, glasses, mugs, tableware and plates
  • Use of biodegradable disposable cups, tableware and plates
  • Xeriscape landscaping at some or all of our hotels helps to conserve water
  • New administrative equipment such as laptops, computers, printers and scanners have been replaced by Energy Star rated equipment
  • Guest Fitness facilities assist our guests in maintaining their health and fitness regimen
  • Non-smoking Guestrooms
  • Equipment replacement program focusing on energy efficiencies
  • Waste recycling programs
  • LED exterior lighting
  • Locally grown, seasonal and organically grown foods
  • Low-Flow bathroom fixtures to conserve water
  • Morning newspaper upon request, thus reducing the amount of paper discarded each day
  • Use of biodegradable Green Earth Key cards for entry into guestrooms

Our heritage is caring for our communities and our earth!
