“Charming spot in charming city”
On a recent trip to Santa Fe to attend the International Folk Art Festival, a friend and I booked a room at The Hotel Plaza Real on Expedia. We confirmed ahead of time with Expedia that the room would have 2 separate double beds. Upon arriving, there was no such room available. Rachel at the front desk totally understood how neither of we two 50 somethings wanted to sleep on a sofa-sleeper and made arrangements for us to have a wonderful suite, no extra cost. All through our four days at the hotel, the people were friendly, place was clean and very welcoming. It is so close to the plaza and directly across the street from the Palace of Governors. Quiet evenings, safe neighborhood, just a perfect location.

“Good rates, helpful staff, convenient location”
We had a very pleasant 2 night stay at the boutique hotel while traveling through New Mexico. We found good rates over the internet, the staff was very helpful, both in making our travel plans, as well as during our stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the location is just 2 short blocks to the Plaza. The suite was very spacious. Many restaurants and shops are within a short walking distance and the lounge was a pleasant place to unwind at night.

“A great wedding weekend in Santa Fe”
As a first-time visitor to Santa Fe, I couldn't have picked a better place to stay than the Plaza Real. The room was nice and spacious; the rate affordable, the location unbeatable, and the service staff was friendly and accommodating. The front desk manager printed an important document for me free of charge, and the general manager returned my tuxedo

“Great location to Plaza”
We were pleasantly surprised with the location of the hotel near the Plaza. The Hotel was clean and quiet and we enjoyed the room. We paid way less than many of the hotels in the same area of the historic Santa Fe district and did not feel cheated. If the rate was good again we would return to the same hotel during the summer when the plaza must be a fun and cultural place to visit.Good food in surrounding restaurants and lots and lots of shops around every corner.

“Fabulous Hotel, Great Staff and Pet Friendly, too!”
My husband and I have stayed here four times in the past three years. What drew us here initially was the proximity to the Plaza. What keeps us coming back is the pet friendly staff. They remember Skooter, our JRT, more than they do us! We were pleasantly surprised with a fireplace in the separate sitting area of our room. We received a generous stack of pinon wood soon after our request at the front desk. The beds were were super fluffy and comfy - had a great night's sleep! The courtyard area is very cute, yet roomy enough for a game of fetch. Each room has a little bistro set where you can enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail. The decorations are elegant and tastefully reflect the Santa Fe style. I'm a runner, so location to safe running areas is very important to me. I had no problem finding safe routes and had a great time "touring" local neighborhoods on foot. Santa Fe-ans were out walking every morning; those with dogs allowed Skooter a bit of play in the park. Hotel Front desk staff, heck all staff, were very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and dine in other areas of Santa Fe and Taos. Considering that the hotel is steps away from the Plaza, this is a great value. We'll be going to Santa Fe again soon for my annual birthday trip and we will definitely be staying at the Hotel Plaza Real!

It’s wonderful to do business with a hotel where you are remembered and treated like a special customer! The rooms are elegant and very comfortable, and the location is ideal for our meetings at the legislature. But the best part of the stay at Hotel Plaza Real is working with a staff who works hard to meet your needs. As a nonprofit, we are very price-sensitive. But Matt Shurtliff is great in helping to make it possible for us to return. And we are always made to feel so welcome by all the staff members there.
